Order is shipped in several packages, how do I track them all?

Learn how to track all packages when one Shopify order has multiple shipments.

TrackHQ syncs logistics information based on Shopify's original order data. If multiple packages are associated with one order, there are two options to track them.

Tracking prerequisite: upload tracking numbers for the order in Shopify, and make sure each package already has logistics information. If no logistics information exists, the status appears as Not found.

Option 1: Ship orders one by one

Split the order into several packages so each package corresponds to an order in Shopify. TrackHQ then tracks each shipment by the tracking number on the Shopify order page.

Option 2: One order with multiple tracking numbers

If all packages stay under one Shopify order, upload all tracking numbers in Shopify before tracking.

Shopify steps

  1. Open the order in Shopify and click Edit tracking.
  2. Click Add another tracking number.
  3. Save the order updates.
Note: for sellers using ERP to ship goods, tracking numbers for some reshipment orders may not sync automatically to Shopify. Add those reshipment tracking numbers manually in Shopify in advance.
