How to make tracking numbers clickable to your Tracking Page? (Enable Redirection)
Enable redirection so tracking numbers in Shopify and customer views open your TrackHQ tracking page.
By enabling Redirection, both customers and merchants can click a tracking number and open your tracking page directly for a seamless branded experience.
I. Feature overview and effective rules
Feature purpose
Automatically replaces shipment tracking links with exclusive links to your tracking page.
Note: this feature is enabled by default after installing the TrackHQ app.
Effective scope
- New orders: Takes effect immediately for orders synced after the feature is enabled.
- Historical orders: If needed, click Redirect Historical Orders to apply redirection to orders from the last 30 days.
II. How to enable or disable this feature
Manage the toggle in TrackHQ admin:
TrackHQ admin > Tracking page > Replace shipment link (Redirection)
Use the toggle to enable or disable.
When disabling, the system can restore links to their pre-redirection targets (for example, carrier websites).
III. Where links become effective
After enabling, tracking numbers become clickable in:
- Customer view: Store order history page
- Merchant view: Shopify admin order details page
IV. How to modify already applied links
- Small number of orders: Edit each link in
Shopify admin > Order details > Fulfillment information > Tracking Link. - Large number of orders: Disable then re-enable redirection in TrackHQ admin, then click Redirect Historical Orders to reapply links for recent orders (last 30 days).
